Mawson Stormwater and Placemaking

Indesco was engaged to perform the detail design of the flood protection infrastructure in the upper reaches of Yarralumla Creek just upstream of the Mawson Group Centre, the associated low levee banks required from the playing fields to the existing stormwater channel and the upgrade/maintenance works required along the existing stormwater channel adjacent to Mawson Drive.

The project will address flooding issues identified in earlier EPSDD studies and the the Mawson Group Centre Master Plan and support the Land Release. Program within the Mawson Group Centre. The project will also review existing and future land use plans, park and ride and other transportation studies (including possible future extension of light rail along Athlon Drive), as well as possible impacts on pedestrian, cyclist and vehicular movement through the site.
