Indesco Contributes to 2024 DfCO₂ Centre Workshop at RMIT University

Indesco was proud to take part in the 2024 DfCO₂ Centre Workshop, with Managing Director Aaron Hazelton attending as a contributing industry partner. Held at RMIT University, the workshop brought together over 35 Chief and Partner Investigators from across four states to strengthen collaboration between researchers and industry, and to progress the shared goal of achieving carbon-neutral infrastructure.
The workshop offered a full day of strategic discussions, research presentations and forward-looking conversations aimed at aligning academic research with practical industry needs. A key session focused on the co-design of the Centre’s Research Translation and Engagement Strategy, ensuring that research outputs are designed for real-world application and long-term impact.
Professor Ian Burnett, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the STEM College and Vice-President at RMIT University, delivered an inspiring opening address that set the tone for a day of productive collaboration and innovation.

The program also featured contributions from Centre Director Professor Chun-Qing Li, Deputy Director A/Professor Guomin (Kevin) Zhang, and Program Leaders Professor Mark Stewart, Professor Kim Rasmussen and Professor Flora Salim. Industry partners Thomas Kuen, Mandhy Senewiratne, Aaron Hazelton and Adam J. shared their perspectives on research priorities and sector needs, contributing to discussions that will help shape the future direction of the Centre’s work.
As the Centre moves forward, Indesco remains committed to contributing its industry expertise to help realise a future where infrastructure is designed and delivered with lifecycle carbon neutrality in mind.
